A matriculant who earned five distinctions was given an Audi S3 worth about R1 million.

Durban – A Gauteng matriculant celebrated in two ways after receiving his dream car from his parents and receiving five distinctions.

The adolescent posted images of the Audi S3 on Twitter along with the caption, “Since my parents trust me, they bought me this as “congratulations in advance.”

The adolescent continued by telling Tweeps that his parents had made the right decision since not only did he earn a bachelor’s degree, but he also earned five distinctions in five different subject areas: civil engineering, math, physics, English, and life orientation.

The automobile is worth R883k, based on cars.co.za.

Some people were particularly sour, requesting that the teenager post his findings, but others were pleased:

Tweeps had the following to say:

Sisipho Malabi: “This is very motivating, man. Congratulation, young man.

Starboy: “Where can I find parents like that? requesting a friend

Despite his gift, the adolescent claimed he still needed to be autonomous and go out on his own.

Results for matriculants nationwide have already been released.

Angie Motshekga, the minister of basic education, reported that the overall matric pass rate was 80,1%, up 8.9% from 2021.

Nearly 280 000 students have met the requirements for admission to bachelor’s programs.

By the way, she added, “the 2022 bachelor passes in terms of numbers are the highest achieved in the history of the National Senior Certificate Examinations, but when represented as a percentage, they are second only to that gained in 2021.”
