Update watchOS

From Apple Watch

  • Open the Settings app on your watch
  • Go to General settings
  • Then tap on Software Update.
  • Now, tap on Install if a software update is available and then go through the instructions to install the latest watchOS update.

From iPhone

Make Sure That

  • iPhone is running the latest version of iOS
  • Apple Watch has at least 50% battery life
  • iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi
  • iPhone and Apple Watch must be kept nearby

 

  • Launch the Watch app.
  • Tap on My Watch section.
  • Go to General settings
  • Then tap on Software Update.
  • Now, tap on Install if a software update is available and then go through the instructions to install the latest watchOS update.

Check for Updates to Your Carrier Settings

  • First of all, connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi or turn on cellular data.
  • Open the Settings app.
  • Go to General settings.
  • Then tap on About.
  • Tap on Update from the pop-up.

Check Apple Watch Cellular Data Usage on iPhone

  • Open the Watch app on your iPhone
  • Tap on My Watch section.
  • Now, tap on Cellular.
  • Scroll down to the Cellular Data Usage You should see overall data usage.

If your data pack has run out, recharge the plan. But if you have enough bandwidth left, move on to the other tips.

Remove and Re-add Cellular Plan

  • Open the Watch app on your iPhone
  • Tap on My Watch section.
  • Now, tap on Cellular.
  • Tap on the information button next to your cellular plan.
  • Tap Remove [carrier] Plan.

  • Now, tap on Add a New Plan and then go through the instructions to add it.

Turn OFF and ON Airplane Mode on Apple Watch

  • Swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to bring up the Control Center.
  • Tap on the Airplane Mode icon to enable it.
  • The button will now turn orange.
  • Wait for some time and then turn off the button.

Reboot Apple Watch

  • Swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to bring up the Control Center.
  • Tap on the cellular button to turn it off.
  • Force-restart your Apple Watch.
  • Press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown at once for at least 10 seconds.
  • When the Apple logo appears, release the buttons.
  • Turn on the cellular from the control center.

Reset Network Settings on iPhone

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Go to General settings.
  • Now, tap on Reset.
  • Hit Reset Network Settings
  • Confirm that you want to wipe out all the existing network settings.
