The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all materials for Syrup (and necessary Freestyle support) operations at the Atlanta Syrup Plant are ordered, planned, produced and delivered in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of product to all internal and external customers.  Responsibilities include direct interaction with internal customers, external suppliers and other CCNA plants, accurate and timely data reporting to Coca-Cola Management and internal systems data management.

  • Coordinate supply networks to ensure continuity of supply for Company-owned manufacturing operations by building and maintaining key relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Maintain communications with procurement to ensure correct supplier information, pricing, material set-up, resolution of purchase order, and invoicing issues.
  • Monitor and lead ongoing reviews of existing vendors, industries, internal processes and customers in order to ensure continuity and quality of supply for KO system and customers.
  • Monitor feedback mechanisms for business issues (e.g., metrics are met, problems are addressed, modifications and/or improvements are captured and integrated) to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Protect all intellectual property, information and technology surrounding confidential processes and products using established legal safeguards to prevent a breach of trademark security within the Company.
  • Monitor communication and distribution of confidential and restricted information involving confidential ingredients using standard procedures for handling of confidential documentation in order to protect Company trademarks.
  • Extract, analyze and report network system data in order to improve supply chain efficiencies using Company sponsored software (e.g., SAP, Excel).
  • Classify and analyze inventory (e.g., raw materials, WIP, finished goods, A/B/C inventory) using statistical tools or other modeling methods considering cost, customer logistics and supplier requirements in order to establish minimum/maximum inventory levels and ensure supply/product availability.
  • Coordinate and process international shipments between plants, customers and carriers.  Be a Backup to SAP Analyst to ensure proper invoicing and payment to international customers.
  • Receive, record and respond to customer or consumer inquiries/feedback using database tools and documented best practices in order to provide improved service performance and/or to capture and report data to internal/external users.
  • Maintain and update all departmental volume reporting for use in general communications and internal/external stakeholder inquiries in order to facilitate accurate volume-related transactions and reporting.
  • Evaluate and measure performance of external service providers (e.g., suppliers, distributors, third party logistics providers) using applicable performance metrics in order to ensure quality, service, efficiency and delivery to specifications as set forth in agreements.
  • Enhance inventory control systems and procedures using updated technologies and best practices to effectively implement inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment and disposition processes.
  • Help with cycle counting and/or annual physical inventories using inventory system reports, inventory location software and count sheets in order to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain warehouse inventory levels to prepare for anticipated demand using available tools or technologies (e.g., ERP systems, cycle counting, orders, forecasts, APO).
  • Maintain inventory levels and/or inventory level data using physical counts, supplier reports, material usage reports and software tools to prepare for anticipated demand and/or appropriately recommend cost-reducing inventory level actions to management.
  • Production Planning for Syrup BIB and McBulk.  Monitor and maintain inventory levels internally and at co-distribution centers for continuity of supply.

  • Education:  High School Diploma Degree or Equivalent work experience
  • Related Work Experience: At least 3 Years

  • Computer Modeling: Ability to apply and analyze large amounts of data for developing projections and estimates (e.g., transportation routings, supplier optimization).
  • Software Applications: Knowledge and use of technical software applications appropriate to the specific work activities (e.g., basic Company applications, SAP, DBS, MRP, OPS, Service Source, MRP II, FAPDRP, Internet).
  • Business Planning: Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies, and interdependencies to perform short and long-term business planning. Ability to incorporate strengths, weaknesses, external opportunities and threats into business plan strategies and execution tasks.
  • Contingency Planning: Knowledge of information used to establish contingency plans for supply chain processes (e.g., cost, risk level, manufacturing, and third-party capabilities). Ability to develop contingency plans that meet performance requirements.
  • Distribution: Knowledge of distributor/distribution policies and procedures. Ability to understand costs/benefits of distributors and common carriers, third party capabilities, distribution structures to support customer order processes, and product availability.
  • Forecasting – Cost: Knowledge of cost forecasting processes and inputs to determine the impact to KO and/or bottlers. Knowledge of key elements such as raw material costs, economic principles, supplier/processing costs and market conditions.
