World Learning is a leading international non-profit organization and higher education institution working globally to enhance the capacity and commitment of individuals, institutions, and communities to create a more sustainable, peaceful, and just world. We are seeking and organizational development expert to support design of upcoming USAID education, youth development, and inclusive development projects. The consultancy is for approximately 10-15 business days between the beginning of October 2022 and the end of December 2022.

Responsibilities

•    Conduct a desk review of current trends and best practices in organizational development (OD) and OD measurement tools for USAID projects, resulting in a summary report

•    Conduct desk review of past organizational development approaches or tools used in World Learning programming; provide recommendations on which approaches, tools, and capacities are in line with current trends and best practices

•    Participate in design sessions, drawing on best practices to contribute to the development of the technical approach

•    Draft technical content upon request, including sample language to be included in the proposal

•    Review early proposal drafts, providing feedback on overall technical approach

Requirements

•    Master’s degree in a related field

•    7+ years of relevant experience providing technical leadership for organizational development, including USAID programs

•    Demonstrated expertise in organizational capacity development in the field of international development, including familiarity with the organizational capacity assessment tool (OCAT) and Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD)

•    Experience working in a similar capacity with international organizations preferred

•    Excellent oral and written communication skills

•    Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfortable using email and Microsoft Teams
