Accountable for the definition and driving the execution of Vodafone’s Digital Business First Customer In-life Journeys (Use, Support & Renew/Leave) and associated digital capabilities. This includes mission critical capabilities such as:
•Defining and driving Digital Capabilities for Customers In-Life Journeys across all our Business Customer Segments including getting help and support, in-life service usage and optimisation & enabling Renew/Leave.
•Enabling a Customer frictionless CX experience, leveraging Digital technologies within the Architecture including React Components, Business Logic Journeys, AI microservices, Data distribution, TMF APIs & Frictionless SSO/Registration.
•Shared responsibility with our broader Digital Architecture team for our One Platform Channels reference architecture (Web/Portal, App, TOBi and interfacing with Assisted Channels), with a focus on the Business Segment customers.
•Vodafone Technology Standards – Vendor Lifecycle Management for relevant Digital Business Capabilities.
•Driving Vodafone API Standards adoption – TMForum OpenAPIs across all Markets to enable an OmniChannel experience for customers. Driving reuse of patterns for Digital In-life journeys and supporting the headless model between Group and Markets for Digital components. Work closely with Digital and IT Delivery Domains: Digital Channels, Digital Engineering, App Modernisation Garage, VBIT and broader technology organisations such as Consumer Products and Services, Vodafone Business Products and Services and Networks.
Considering Digital Business capabilities within the broader Vodafone Open Digital Architecture (V-ODA) realised as “IT as a Platform / Telco as a Service”
You will work in partnership with our overall Digital and IT Strategy and Architecture teams, broader Delivery teams and Vodafone Business Digital First “Business Transformation” team to jointly define the business and technology capabilities required, define the architecture runway enabling the agile delivery of components.
You will work in close partnership with other key members of our team – for example:
•Our Vodafone Business Digital Channels Principal Architect who will focus on the other aspects of the Digital Business Customer experience such as Explore, Buy & Start-up. Will ensure clean digital journey handoffs for Common Enablers like Marketplace, overall Digital Channels, and new Products, so that Customer experience a seamless E2E journey.
•our Digital Principal Architect who focuses on the consumer landscape and common enablers like One Platform Channels
•Our Core IT Vodafone Business Architecture team who are accountable for the on underlying capabilities architecture like Core Commerce and Party Management
•Our Analytics and Intelligence Architecture team who are accountable for our overall intelligence and analytics architecture
The geographic scope of the accountability includes the IT architecture for Global, Regional and Local Market capabilities. You will work closely with our Digital Channels and Products, Vodafone Business Products, Vodafone Business IT, Digital Engineering, Corporate Systems and Analytics, and App Modernisation delivery domains to achieve the best outcomes for the customer. The business segment accountability includes all Vodafone business segments i.e. B2B (Business to Business) from Small Office Home Office, Small-to-Medium Enterprise and Corporate Business, whilst also considering new B2B2X (Business to Business to Any Party and Adjacent Markets) business model as part of the broader V-ODA multi-sided platform business model.
You will lead a Use/Support Digital Business Architecture Team
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
•Digital Capabilities for Customer Use Journeys across all our Business Customer Segments including interoperability with Digital Experience Enablers such as Digital Marketing (Customer Data Platforms, Personalisation) and Content Management, and requirements for the back end: Core Commerce Management, Party Management capabilities and Intelligence Management capabilities exposed through APIs
•Digital Capabilities for Customer Support Journeys across all our Business Customer Segments including getting help and support, in-life service usage and optimisation
•Shared responsibility with our broader Digital, Cloud and Integration Architecture team for our One Platform Accountable for API / Integration reference architecture at
•Subject to insource: People management organization in line with Spirit, alternatively you will set the objectives and monitor the performance of the outsourced supplier for these customer journeys
•Manage strategic Digital Business First vendors and influence them to get best solutions and technologies aligned to Vodafone’s IT Strategy
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Integration and APIs, including strategy, architecture and delivery roles and minimum 5 years holding Enterprise Architecture leadership roles.
•Excellent understanding of the Telecommunications and Technology industries and substantial Technology background especially Digital and Customer Engagement capabilities and Integration technologies
•Ability to transform complex business requirements into technology solutions and present them comprehensively at an executive management level working through into more detailed blueprints leading Solution and System architects in a federated operating model
•Proven experience in relationship management with senior stakeholders and vendors
•Strong experience in driving dynamic transformation through pragmatic application of architecture in high tech, multinational environments including the ability to align architecture to the diverse viewpoints of senior stakeholders in order to enable execution.
Key performance indicators:
•Adherence to Vodafone’s IT Strategy and target Architecture, including Digital, ITaaP, and its interoperability with the broader V-ODA ecosystem (TaaS, NaaP, Regional and Global Platforms)
•Driving of definition and implementation of reference Open Digital Architecture and standards across Vodafone Local Markets, Group Functions and Global/Regional Technology Platforms
•Simplification of Digital and IT API and Integration capabilities across markets and Group Functions
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
•Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science or similar
•TOGAF, or similar architecture certification. TMForum standards
