About the Role:

As a Regional Manager, you will lead Bolt’s Ride-Hailing Operations in East and South Africa. Reporting to the Regional Director for Africa & International Markets, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the region, developing critical stakeholder relationships, and managing the country managers for Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Location: Preferred locations for this role are Nairobi, Kenya, or Johannesburg, South Africa.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

1. Financial and Strategic Planning:
   • Lead the regional financial and strategic planning process.
   • Design, implement, and optimize regional business and operational strategies/goals with Country Managers.
2. P&L Oversight:
   • Oversee regional P&L delivery against set KPIs.
   • Ensure impactful investments and operational efficiency.
3. Business Reviews:
   • Lead monthly and/or quarterly regional business reviews.
4. Operational Excellence:
   • Operationalize key growth initiatives and/or best practices across the region.
   • Maintain awareness of local competition and industry trends.
5. Team Building:
   • Build and grow local teams in collaboration with Country Managers.
6. Collaboration:
   • Advise and collaborate with HQ teams such as Product, Legal, or Marketing to execute key initiatives.
7. Expansion Strategy:
   • Set and implement the expansion strategy for the East and South Africa region.

About You:

• 7+ years of experience in operations or general management.
• Proven track record in a regional, cross-functional, high-growth, and fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Experience building relationships with leaders and peers.
• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Passion for new technologies and ridesharing.
• Strong sense of ownership with a hands-on approach.
