Your Role:

As the Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change, and Humanitarian Response Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of our efforts to support vulnerable communities in El Salvador. Your work will ensure the effective implementation of projects related to disaster risk management, resilience, and humanitarian action, making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families.

What You’ll Do:

  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with local stakeholders, government agencies, and civil society organizations to ensure projects meet the needs of vulnerable communities.

  • Emergency Response: Lead the response to disasters and humanitarian crises, coordinating with local partners and agencies to provide timely assistance and support.

  • Capacity Building: Train project staff and community members on disaster preparedness, climate resilience, and humanitarian principles, empowering them to take action in times of need.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, engineering, environmental management, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in disaster risk management, climate change, or humanitarian response, with a track record of project management and community engagement.

  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to gender equality and inclusion.
