Introduction The United Nations Support Office in Somalia seeks a qualified individual for the role of Finance and Budget Officer. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing financial management and budgetary processes within the office, contributing to the effective implementation of programs and initiatives.


  1. Financial Management: Manage financial resources in accordance with UN regulations and policies, ensuring compliance and accountability.

  • Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in finance, budgeting, or related areas, preferably within the UN system or international organizations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial management systems, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other official UN languages is desirable.
