Job Description: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) invites applications from internal candidates for the position of Secretary “C” at the Kalandia Training Centre (KTC) in RAMALLAH. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the Education Department, ensuring smooth office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Secretarial Support: Provide comprehensive secretarial assistance to the Education Department, including typing, filing, and record-keeping.
  2. Correspondence Management: Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls.
  3. Appointment and Travel Arrangements: Schedule appointments, meetings, and travel logistics for departmental staff.
  4. Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute relevant documents for meetings and workshops.
  5. Event Coordination: Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, and other events as required.
  6. Office Supplies Management: Maintain inventory of office supplies and initiate procurement procedures as needed.
  7. Document Processing: Prepare and process administrative documents such as contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  8. Interdepartmental Coordination: Liaise with other departments and external partners as necessary to facilitate operations.
  9. Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and documents.
  10. Additional Duties: Undertake any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.


  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in secretarial studies or office administration is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in secretarial or administrative roles.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with UNRWA policies and procedures preferred.
