You can sign in to Cash Assistance by going to cashassistance.gateway.ga.gov and clicking the Sign In button: Governor Brian P. Kemp recently announced that he has spent more than $1 billion with the Department of Human Services to provide cash. Assistance up to $350 for active Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids®, SNAP and/or TANF enrollees. Georgians enrolled in more than one of these programs will receive only one cash assistance benefit.

Who is eligible to receive a Cash Assistance program prepaid card?
You must be enrolled in and actively receiving Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids®, SNAP and/or TANF benefits by July 31, 2022 to be eligible. If you are unsure of your eligibility, you can visit gateway.ga.gov and go to the “Check My Benefits – Case Selection” page. It will show whether or not you and/or a household member are eligible.
When will I receive the prepaid card?
If you have chosen to receive email only or email and US mail communications at Gateway, you will receive your virtual prepaid card by email no later than October 11. The email comes from do********@ga** ***.gov. If you have opted to receive US mail only, you will receive a physical prepaid card in mid-October

How to Apply
You can apply for and renew benefits using COMPASS, the online resource for cash assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), child care, health care coverage, home heating assistance (LIHEAP), school meals, Women’s SelectPlan and long-term benefits. live services. You also can:
- Submit an application to your local County Assistance Office; either
- Download an online application form (below) and return it to your local County Assistance Office:

Card Activation:
- What information is needed to redeem the prepaid card? You will need your customer ID and date of birth to redeem your card. If you have more than one eligible person in your household, be sure to use the customer ID and date of birth of the person to whom the email is addressed.
- How do I find my Customer ID? Your customer ID is available in your Gateway account. After you sign in, your Customer ID will appear under “Summary of My Benefits” in the unique monetary aid table.
- What if I can’t access the email the prepaid card was originally sent to and if I update it in Gateway, the card comes in the new email? Yes, sign in and make sure you have the correct email address in Gateway on the “Notifications” screen.

Use Georgia Gateway to apply online for benefits
Georgia Gateway is the state government’s web portal to access public services. When you create an account, you can apply for or renew benefits, upload documents, and report changes to your case.
Use Georgia Gateway to access programs like:
- Supplemental Nutrition Utility (SNAP)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Medical help, like Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids
- Child Care and Parenting Services (CAPS)
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Cash assistance to refugees
Georgia Gateway is offered in multiple languages. There is no fee to apply for benefits through Georgia Gateway.

If my Cash Assistance ends, what happens to my family’s health care coverage?
Your family may be eligible for free or low-cost health care, even if you no longer receive cash assistance. In fact, you and your family will automatically remain eligible for Medical Assistance (MA)/Medicaid for at least six months after you start working, no matter how much money you make. Also, your children may remain eligible for Medicaid even after you are no longer eligible. These programs can help working families:
Medical Assistance(MA)/Medicaid
- Medicaid, also known as Medical Assistance, provides free health coverage for children and adults.
- Eligibility depends on your family size and income, and the age of your children.
- If you qualify, you do not have to pay a premium. Some services may have very low copays.
- Benefits may include checkups, hospital stays, injections, prescriptions, and dental and vision coverage. Medicaid covers all medically necessary supplies for children.
Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
- CHIP offers free or low-cost health insurance for children under age 19 whose families are not eligible for Medicaid.
- Benefits include checkups, hospital stays, injections, prescriptions, and dental, vision, and hearing services.

SOLVE (Supporting Onsite Learning for Virtual Education) Scholarship: Change Reporting
Please complete the information below to communicate changes to your existing approved SOLVE scholarship. If you are reporting a change to your provider and need help finding one, visit http://qualityrated.org/. Please contact the provider prior to submitting your request to ensure space is available for your child.
Call 1-833-4GACAPS (1-833-442-2277) if:
- You cannot find your existing SOLVE scholarship number.
- You must report additional changes in your circumstances.
- You must report a change to a current SOLVE exchange.
Provider changes on approved SOLVE exchanges will take effect the following Monday, unless you choose to start new exchanges at a later date. Current exchanges are terminated with the existing provider when a new exchange is created.
Registration fees are allowed based on initial eligibility. Additional registration fees may be allowed in limited circumstances, such as a provider closing.
