MANEB Results:
The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) was founded in April 1987 to conduct valid and reliable examinations for certification, selection and placement purposes and provide professional advice relating to assessment and examinations.
Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE)
- Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) Examination is written by learners who are completing their final grade at primary school. This examination is also used by the Ministry of Education to select learners to all public secondary schools.
- PSLCE MANEB Results release date: September 2021.
Junior Certificate of Education (JCE)
- This examination is the first secondary school examination. It is written by learners after completing junior secondary level which covers two academic years. Learners who pass the JCE Exam.
- JCE MANEB 2020 Results release date: September 2021.
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- The examination is the final examination at the secondary school level in Malawi. Learners who pass this examination qualify for selection into public and private colleges and universities or get absorbed into the job market.

Malawi Craft Examination (MCE)
- Malawi Craft Examination (MCE) is administered to learners in technical colleges after undergoing two years of vocational training. Malawi Advanced Craft Examination (MACE)
is administered after undergoing four years of vocational training.

Primary Teacher Certificate of Education (PTCE)
- The examination is administered to student teachers completing their studies at all Teacher Training Colleges in Malawi. Qualifying student teachers are certified to teach at any primary school in Malawi.

Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) allows candidates and other people to access their exam results in the following ways.
RE-ADMINISTRATION OF MSCE EXAMINATION
The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) is announcing to the public that it will re-administer the 2020 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations from 5th to 29th January 2021. The re-administration of the examination has been necessitated by the cancellation of the 2020 MSCE examinations on 4th November, 2020 and subsequently directive by His excellency the State President, Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera to re-administer the examinations not later than January 2021.
Preparations for the re-administration of the examinations are on track and progressing well and the public should note the following:
- Examinations security is jointly being provided by the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and the Malawi Police Service, with MDF taking lead.
- The timetable has been drawn and delivery of the timetable to District Education Managers (DEMs) offices has been commenced today the 8th of December, 2020 and will be completed in four days’ time. Secondary School Heads are, therefore, advised to collect copies of the timetable from their respective DEMs’ offices.
iii. The list of items for science practical examination will be dispatched together with the timetable. As advised by the Ministry of Education, schools should not demand fees for practical examination from candidates since the fee aspect will be shouldered by Government.
- Names of teachers to administer the examination are ready and MANEB will conduct briefing sessions for the teachers to acquaint them with skills and knowledge on examination administration.
- Deadline for submission of identity card queries
MANEB is assuring the public that it has put in place all necessary security measures to ensure a credible examination.
MANEB Results From Schools:
- After the results announcement all results will be available to Education Division Offices, District education offices and in all Public and Grant—Aided Secondary Schools.
- Students are free to collect theirs from their respective schools in Malawi.
Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) allows candidates to download results from the official website www.maneb.edu.mw, now students have to choose their exam and download the results from district wise.
