The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is the governing body of football in Africa. It organises the African Cup of Nations, which is the main competition for national teams in Africa. It also organises the CAF Confederations Cup, which is a tournament for national teams from the CAF region.

 

The CAF Cup began in 1957 and was won by Egypt. It was first held every four years, then every two years, and finally every year from 1962 to 1994. The competition was suspended from 1995 to 1999, but was revived in 2000. Since 2000, it has been held every year except for 2006 and 2010.

The CAF Cup is the most prestigious competition in Africa, with the CAF Champions League being the second-most prestigious competition in Africa. The CAF Confederation Cup is also important, as it determines who will represent Africa at the World Cup. The CAF Super Cup is also important, as it determines who will represent Africa at the African Cup of Nations.

 

Uganda National Team

The Uganda national football team (nicknamed The Cranes), represents Uganda in men’s international football and is controlled by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations, which is a part of CAF. Their best finish in the Africa Cup of Nations was second in 1978.

 

Tanzania National Team

The Tanzania national football team represents Tanzania in men’s international football and is controlled by the Tanzania Football Federation, the governing body for football in Tanzania, Tanzania’s home ground is Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam and their head coach is Kim Poulsen from Denmark

Algeria National Team

The Algeria national football team represents Algeria in men’s international football and is governed by the Algerian Football Federation. The team plays their home matches at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida and 5 July Stadium in Algiers

Niger National Team

The Niger national football team represents Niger in international football through the Nigerien Football Federation, a member of Confederation of African Football. Niger plays in the colors of the flag of Niger, white, green and orange.
