An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of time. It is typically undertaken by students and graduates looking to gain relevant skills and experience in a particular field. Employers benefit from these placements because they often recruit employees from their best interns, who have known capabilities, thus saving time and money in the long run.
The National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) is offering exciting internship opportunities (113 posts) on a 2 year fixed internship contract (Non-renewable). The Graduate Internship Program will commence on 1 April 2023.
Internship Location: Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo/Mpumalanga, Free State/North West, Western/Northern Cape and Eastern Cape
Internship Closing Date: 28 February 2023
The Graduates will be based in the following NHLS divisions, regional offices and sites: Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo/Mpumalanga, Free State/North West, Western/Northern Cape and Eastern Cape, NICD, NIOH and Corporate Divisions.
During this period, the individuals will attain practical experience through on-the-job coaching and mentoring. The interns will also receive a stipend. No accommodation or transport will be provided.
