DEPOSIT FOR VISA LETTER

All foreign students should pay R15 000 as a deposit to receive an admission letter to apply for a study visa to South Africa, which will be offset against his/her fees upon registration.

REGISTRATION FEE (Also see Payment of Fees)

A non-refundable registration fee of R1365 is payable upon registration per semester.
Registration commences on 16 January 2023 (1st Semester) and 19 June 2023 (2nd Semester).
An additional fee for late registration will be charged:

First Semester:

06/02/2023 – 15/02/2023* = R 1 470

Second Semester:

10/07/2023 – 19/07/2023* = R 1 470

*Final late registration closes at 17:00. Last day to drop/add/change modules. Students may not join classes after this date

  • *Holiday Accommodation is not included. Residences are closed during the June and December holidays.
  • One tour every three months (entrance tickets not included).
  • Unlimited internet.
  • Unlimited use of all College facilities

PAYMENT POLICY

No student will be allowed to re-register with the College until all outstanding debt has been settled in full. Students with long overdue balances on their accounts may be handed over to a third party for collection. Any collection/legal costs that may arise from the account being handed over will be for the account of the student. Payment should be made with the collection company concerned.

ACCOMMODATION FEES

Financial arrangements must be made before a student can be admitted into the residence. 10% of the semester’s dormitory fee should be paid before students are granted access to their rooms. A room can only be booked if the student account is settled in full. Boarding fees are the same for both the men’s and women’s residence. International students must pay for the full semester in advance.

*Full meals are optional – students may choose which food items they wish to buy from the Cafeteria. 

Notes: 

  1. All students that would like to stay in the residences are required to pay 10% of the fee to secure a room in advance. This is not a deposit; this will be credited to the student account. Please note that this amount is only effective if the student account is cleared. Preference of admission at the residences will be given to those students that have paid the full 50% for boarding and tuition fees in advance.
  2. All students, are to load money onto their student cards to purchase meals from the Cafeteria.
  3. Please note that money for meals is to be paid directly into student’s personal bank account.
  4. Students who have balances on deposits for the “pay as you eat” option may carry their balances forward to the next semester, or be refunded.
  5. Students who have refrigerators in their rooms will be charged an additional fee of R250 per month.
  6. Please note that students will not be allowed to change their boarding options during the semester.
  7. The “One person per room” option is subject to availability. Preference is given to senior students. This option will not be applicable under lockdown due to COVID-19.
  8. The residences room deposit will be refunded to the student after his/her leaving or graduating from the College, provided the room is left in good order. Reasonable wear and tear excepted.
  9. All credit balances are to remain on students’ accounts until they graduate or withdraw from the College. The credit balance will then be returned to the original depositor.
  10. Interest at a rate of 0.5% per month will be levied on any accounts older than 30 days.

PAYMENT OF FEES

1   South African Students

  1. 5% discount will be given to South African students if the semester tuition fees are paid within the first week of the academic year.
  2. Students with 5 or more modules must pay R15 000 to register for tuition, or R20 500 including boarding feesFor a returning student, any outstanding account must be settled before registration.
  3. Students with less than 4 modules must pay 50% of the semester fees (tuition), 50% of boarding per semester, and the semester registration fee is required before registration. For a returning student, any outstanding account must be settled before registration.
  4. Interest at a rate of 0.5% per month will be levied on any accounts older than 30 days.
  5. Payments are not dependent on receipt of a statement of account.
  6. All credit balances are to remain on students’ accounts until a student graduates or withdraws from the College. The credit balance will then be returned to the original depositor.

2   International Students

  1. First-year international students and students from other African countries are required to pay the full registrationtuition and boarding fees before registration.
  2. From their second yearinternational students are required to pay 50% of the full registration, tuition and boarding fees during The remaining 50% must be paid by 31 March 2023 (1st Semester) & 31 August 2023 (2nd Semester). If a student fails to pay the 50% he/she will be deregistered.
  3. English Language Institute students are required to pay the full registration, tuition and boarding fees in advance before their admissions are processed.
  4. Monies received from outside South Africa cannot be All credit balances are to remain on students’ accounts until they graduate or withdraw from the College. The credit balance will then be returned to the original depositor.
  5. Interest at a rate of 0.5% per month will be levied on any accounts older than 30 days.

3   Sponsored Students

Upon registration, students who are sponsored must present the original letter indicating the following:

  1. The organization (name, address, and contact person) that is sponsoring the student;
  2. The duration of the sponsorship;
  3. The amount of the sponsorship; and
  4. Any limitations or restrictions on the sponsorship.

4 New Students only

20% discount on tuition fees will be given to new students enrolling for the following programmes:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Management)
  • Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Corporate Communication & Media Studies streams)

Please note:

  1. Should the student be placed in a foundation year, this discount will be applicable for the relevant first semester.
  2. 20% tuition discount is only applicable to first year students (including transfer students), and only for their first semester.
  3. Students may only qualify for one form of discount.

BOOKS

Students must purchase their own prescribed textbooks. It is advised that students budget for approximately R4 800 per semester. Money for books must not be paid into the College account.
