Job Summary: WRI China’s Food and Natural Resources Program is seeking an Agriculture Research Analyst to conduct evidence-based research and analysis on policies and practices related to agriculture sustainable transition in China. The analyst will contribute to research on China’s agriculture sustainable transition project and its alignment with global agendas such as climate, biodiversity, and SDGs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evidence-based research and analysis on agriculture sustainable transition policies and practices.
  • Work with WRI Global and WRI China teams to draft knowledge products in English and Chinese.
  • Present research findings at internal and external meetings.
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, and field visits with team members and project partners.
  • Assist in organizing external events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Contribute to project proposals, implementation, and progress reporting.
  • Support other activities as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in agriculture/food/environmental economics or related fields.
  • At least three years of relevant full-time work experience in agriculture/food/environment-related fields.
  • Strong quantitative research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Detail-oriented, positive, enthusiastic, and innovative.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
