Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting and editing communication materials, including reports, newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Support the development and implementation of communication strategies to promote the work of the Resident Coordinator System.
  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on results and impact data.
  • Provide support in organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Assist in monitoring media coverage and compiling press clippings.
  • Undertake research on relevant topics to support communication initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program (or recent graduate) in communications, journalism, international relations, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.

Additional Information:

  • This internship is unpaid and full-time.
  • Interns are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and travel.
