Business Development and Marketing Coordinator – Fast-Growing Law Firm

Location: Toronto, ON

Our client, one of Canada’s fastest-growing law firms, positioned nationally among the top-growth companies in 2021, is seeking a dynamic Bilingual Business Development and Marketing Coordinator. With a specialization in various branches of business law, including corporate, real estate, and financial transactions, the firm is expanding its team near the Toronto airport.

Role:

Working closely with the operational and leadership teams, the Business Development and Marketing Coordinator manages all aspects of the firm’s marketing, including communications, brand management, advertising, social media, event management, business development, community involvement, and charitable efforts. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational and project management skills, coupled with a positive and energetic attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement marketing communications across various platforms (digital, social media, and emails) to convey the firm’s values, practice, and vision, fostering enthusiasm and engagement.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to increase visibility and optimize representation of respective practice areas.
  • Supervise the creation of legal content, design high-quality communications for client documents, submissions, and brochures, including award nomination submissions.
  • Manage and develop the firm’s presence on social media platforms.
  • Develop and implement a public relations strategy that defines, amplifies, and communicates the brand identity, optimizing brand awareness among potential clients, employees, and market intermediaries.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to produce firm communication materials (stationery, personalized cards and gifts, campus presentation materials, etc.).
  • Plan quarterly events for employees.
  • Coordinate and implement client and firm events, review sponsorship and charity requests submitted to the firm.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to support the firm’s recruitment goals.
  • Coordinate appreciation and gift campaigns for clients.
  • Manage the firm’s marketing budget and expenses with monthly and annual projections.
  • Perform other functions as reasonably required from time to time by the management.
  • Establish and manage a CRM system to track client interactions and manage client relationships.
  • Implement marketing analytics tools to track the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communication, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of fundamental marketing principles, including digital marketing, internal communications, event planning, and branding.
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in public relations and marketing in a law firm or in a public relations/marketing agency working for law firms, considered an asset.
  • High level of experience and knowledge of LinkedIn as a public relations/marketing/communications tool.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Perfectly bilingual in French and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), preferable.
  • Previous experience in the professional or legal industry, an asset but not mandatory.
