Position Summary: UNRWA is seeking a Field Ethics Officer to join its team in Jordan. The Field Ethics Officer will be responsible for upholding and promoting ethical standards within the organization’s operations in the field. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that UNRWA’s activities adhere to the highest ethical principles and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor ethical standards and codes of conduct within the field office.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on ethical matters, including conflict of interest, integrity, and professional behavior.
  • Investigate and address reports of ethical violations or misconduct, ensuring fair and impartial resolution.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to promote a culture of ethics and integrity within the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on ethics and compliance for staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records of ethics-related activities and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, ethics, business administration).
  • At least 3 years of experience in ethics, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ethical principles and standards, with the ability to apply them in a professional context.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
