Position Summary

In response to the pressing need for disaster support in the Philippines, IPA is conducting a rapid evaluation of the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) Program launched by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The Field Officer will play a crucial role in this evaluation by conducting one-on-one interviews with ECT beneficiaries, ensuring the accurate collection of data, and providing valuable feedback for program improvement.

Responsibilities

  1. Participate in training sessions for Field Staff and provide feedback on survey translation and programming.
  2. Conduct one-on-one interviews with ECT beneficiaries in accordance with IPA and project protocols.
  3. Meet daily productivity targets to ensure the completion of surveys within the specified data collection period.
  4. Report any errors or issues faced during data collection to the Field Coordinator.
  5. Adhere to IPA finance protocols and submit required documents promptly.
  6. Assist the Research Team with other data collection-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience conducting quantitative surveys, preferably face-to-face or via phone interviews using SurveyCTO or similar software.
  • Fluent in Bisaya spoken in Davao, Filipino, and English.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and identify errors during data collection.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in survey protocols and travel to Davao Oriental and/or Davao del Norte.
  • Access to reliable cell and mobile data reception.
  • Proficient in basic software including Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and communication apps.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with IPA data collection and financial processes.

Reports to: Research Associate / Field Coordinator
