Overview:

UNRWA is seeking enthusiastic individuals, both male and female, to join our team as Geography Teachers for grades 8 in various field locations. This is an opportunity to inspire students and foster an understanding of the world around them through the study of geography.

Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Implementation: Develop and deliver engaging geography lessons that cover key concepts, regions, and phenomena.

2. Critical Thinking: Encourage students to think critically about geographical issues, including human-environment interactions, globalization, and sustainable development.

3. Map Skills: Teach students how to read and interpret maps, atlases, and other geographic tools to enhance spatial understanding.

4. Fieldwork: Organize and lead field trips and experiential learning activities to reinforce classroom learning and connect students with their local environment.

5. Assessment: Assess student understanding of geographic concepts and skills and provide constructive feedback to support their learning.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, or related field.

• Certification: Teaching certification or licensure is required.

• Experience: Previous experience teaching geography at the middle school level is preferred.

• Passion: Demonstrated passion for geography education and fostering a sense of curiosity about the world among students.
