Job Title: Group Cash Transfer (Cash & Markets) Officer
Location: Kosti Country Office, Sudan

Organization: Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC)

Responsibilities:

Generic Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
  • Implement delegated Group Cash Transfers (GCTs) portfolio according to plan.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents and means of verification.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Provide regular activity progress reports to GCTs Manager.
  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the implementation of all GCTs activities with technical support.
  • Support delivery of training sessions and capacity-building activities to community-based groups.
  • Conduct awareness-raising campaigns and community engagement activities.
  • Develop monthly implementation plans of GCTs activities.
  • Follow up with community-based groups on applications, implementation, and reporting.
  • Provide daily guidance and mentoring to community-based group members.
  • Coordinate with support departments for smooth running of GCTs activities.
  • Ensure adherence to security plan and procedures in all operations.
  • Consolidate weekly and monthly activity progress reports.
  • Monitor all NRC GCTs activities implemented by partners and service providers.
  • Identify and address training needs of community-based groups and partners.
  • Lead stakeholder sensitization and maintain good working relationships.
  • Maintain records of project deliveries and update the GCTs tracker and cash database.
  • Ensure all monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out on time.
  • Regularly visit project sites to monitor activities and support community-based groups.

Qualifications:

Professional Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in economics, social sciences, or development studies.
  • 2 years’ experience as a Project Officer in a humanitarian context.
  • Experience working with community-based organizations and Emergency Response Rooms in Sudan.
  • Knowledge of Cash and Voucher programming is desirable.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Fluency in English.
