Position Summary: UNODC is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Unit in Tashkent. The Human Resources Assistant will assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, personnel administration, benefits administration, and staff development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by preparing vacancy announcements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Provide administrative support for the onboarding and orientation of new staff, including the preparation of contracts, personnel files, and orientation materials.
  • Assist in the maintenance of HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Support the administration of benefits and entitlements for staff, including leave management, health insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Assist in organizing training and development activities for staff, including coordinating training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Respond to inquiries from staff regarding HR policies, procedures, and entitlements, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and statistics for management review and decision-making.
  • Support other HR-related tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in human resources management is desirable.
  • At least six years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including at least three years in human resources or related field.
  • Experience working in an international organization or multicultural environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR management systems.
  • Fluency in English and Uzbek languages (written and spoken) is required.
