Description: The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is offering an internship opportunity in Yaoundé for individuals interested in human rights affairs. This internship provides practical experience and exposure to various aspects of human rights work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in research and analysis related to human rights issues.
- Support the organization of human rights events, conferences, and meetings.
- Assist in the drafting and preparation of documents, reports, and communications.
- Provide support in monitoring and reporting on human rights developments.
- Assist in conducting interviews and gathering information from various sources.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a university program (graduate or undergraduate) in a relevant field such as law, political science, international relations, or human rights.
- Strong interest in human rights issues and a desire to gain practical experience in the field.
- Good research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and to adapt to diverse working styles.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or other languages is an asset.
- Previous experience in human rights work or related fields is desirable but not required.
