Mission in Venezuela: SI has been operational in Venezuela since the end of 2019, initially focusing on Caracas and later expanding its activities to other regions, including Barquisimeto, Falcon, Sucre, and Portuguesa states. While primarily engaged in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities, SI has also initiated food security and livelihood (FSL) projects, with a growing emphasis on protection and health components.

Job Description: As the Meal Coordinator, you will report to the Country Director and be responsible for designing and implementing the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) action plans for the mission. Your main tasks will include providing methodological support to program teams, ensuring the quality and relevance of monitoring and evaluation activities, promoting cross-cutting integration with other departments, supporting staff training, contributing to institutional knowledge building, and supervising the implementation of accountability mechanisms.

Requirements:

  • Diplomas: Graduate or post-graduate degree in Public Health, Water Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent humanitarian experience.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with specific experience in MEAL coordination.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project evaluation, monitoring, data analysis, and understanding of the project cycle.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, and a high level of motivation to meet humanitarian needs.
  • Language: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, with English proficiency being a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salaried position starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, with a monthly per diem.
