Position Summary

IPA Peru is at the forefront of field-based randomized evaluations, focusing on key sectors such as education, gender-based violence, social protection, financial inclusion, and health. Currently, IPA Peru is leading a project to establish an innovation lab in collaboration with the Agency for Environmental Assessment and Enforcement (OEFA) to enhance environmental efforts in Peru.

In this context, IPA Peru seeks a Research Analyst (RAn) to support the project’s activities. The RAn will assist in developing key inputs for the institutionalization of the Lab, including research project design, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  1. Clean and systematize administrative databases.
  2. Conduct literature reviews and contribute to report and presentation development.
  3. Assist in the creation of Concept Notes, Policy Briefs, and Funding Proposals.
  4. Support interview activities with key stakeholders and data systematization.
  5. Monitor and ensure data quality in collaboration with IPA tools.
  6. Hold regular check-in meetings with IPA Peru and OEFA staff.
  7. Ensure compliance with IPA protocols in administrative, HR, and finance processes.
  8. Work on-site at IPA Peru office or OEFA headquarters in Lima.
  9. Assist in other tasks related to research projects for the institutionalization process of BE-OEFA.

Qualifications

Required:

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics or other social science disciplines.
  • Knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and data management, especially in RCTs and Stata.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Leadership, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with impact evaluation concepts and qualitative research principles.
