Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the analysis and research of political developments relevant to the work of the department.
- Support the organization and preparation of meetings, conferences, and other events.
- Draft and review reports, briefing notes, and other documents.
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
Qualifications/Special Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program (or recent graduate within one year) in political science, international relations, peace and conflict studies, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous experience or coursework in political affairs, peacebuilding, or related fields is desirable.
Languages:
- Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
