Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the analysis and research of political developments relevant to the work of the department.
• Support the organization and preparation of meetings, conferences, and other events.
• Draft and review reports, briefing notes, and other documents.
• Provide administrative support to the team as needed.

Qualifications/Special Skills:

• Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program (or recent graduate within one year) in political science, international relations, peace and conflict studies, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous experience or coursework in political affairs, peacebuilding, or related fields is desirable.

Languages:

• Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
• Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
