Four people have died following a truck accident with a Toyota Spacio in Kwambe Dumila area in Kilosa district in Morogoro and caused the road to close for several hours.
Speaking to Citizen Digital by phone today on January 14, Kilosa District Commissioner, Majid Light said the small car had six people including a driver who is a civil servant.
He said it was recognized that those in the car were one family, where he wanted drivers to stay careful while on the road especially during this rainy season.
St. Joseph Dumila’s Hospital Medical Doctor, Manyele Kapongo said they had received the bodies of the people (the deceased) and two injuries.
Kapongo said they are currently undergoing treatment for the two injuries who are mother and baby.
In addition, witnesses of the accident say the vehicles collided face -to -face and the small car was badly damaged.
Shuhuda Julias Michael , a resident of Dumila, speaking of the accident, said the cause of the accident was the driver of the small car who was driving at a very high speed that he failed to control his car and avoid ths gastric accident.
