Official management of Singida Big Stars has made corrections to its Logo, with the aim of protecting the history of the club founded in 2010.
The change comes after confusion over the precise timing of the club’s establishment, which was recognised as DTB when it competed in the lower divisions ahead of promotion to the Premier League in the 2022/23 season.
The original logo showed Singida Big Stars had been introduced in 2021, but the reality is that it was supposed to show in 2010.
“The history of Singida Big Stars starts with DTB FC before being named. 2021 is the year when we changed the name from DTB FC to Singida Big Stars ”stated the club’s statement
The leadership of the Singida Big Stars club bought the DTB club at the end of last season (2021/22), a few days after the end of the Championship, and transferred to Singida from Dar es Salaam.
Currently Singida Big Stars is one of the best clubs in the Premier League in the mainland with fourth place in the Premier League, with 37 points.
It has also participated for the first time in the 2023 Revolutionary Cup, and reached the final of the House to lose against Mlandege FC by a 2-1 draw on Friday (January 13).
