Deserving and qualified students are invited to apply for the Mayors’ Scholarship Fund for the 2023 academic year by the Breede Valley Municipality.

The municipality wants to hasten the development of human resources through the Mayors’ Scholarship Fund. It aims to encourage young people to apply for the scholarship explicitly.

The scholarship might be used by students to cover costs such as lodging, meals, transportation, registration, exam, class, and book fees.

The grant, however, does not fully cover the cost of the academic year and is not a full-cost grant.

The Mayors’ Scholarship Fund is not open to students who already receive NSFAS bursaries. Students majoring in municipal government-related disciplines of study will also be given preference.
