The SRD SASSA Grants will be increased in April 2023.

  • The Older Persons Grant (old age pension) will increase to:
    • R2080 on 1 April 2023, for recipients between 60 and 74 years old (an increase of R90). It will then increase to R2090 on 1 October 2023 (an increase of R10). The current amount is R1990.
    • R2100 on 1 April 2023, for recipients between over 75 years old (an increase of R90). It will then increase to R2110 on 1 October 2023 (an increase of R10). The current amount is R2010.
  • The Disability Grant will increase to R2080 on 1 April 2023, (an increase of R90). It will then increase to R2090 on 1 October 2023 (an increase of R10). The current amount is R1990.
  • The Child Support Grant will increase to R500 on 1 April 2023, (an increase of R20). It will then increase to R510 on 1 October 2023 (an increase of R10). The current amount is R480.
  • The Child Support Grant Top-Up will increase to R250 on 1 April 2023, (an increase of R10). There will be no further increase on 1 October 2023. The current amount is R240.
