Overview of the Functions of the Post: The Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Officer will be based at the UNESCO Haiti Country Office and will report to the Chief of Office and the designated Programme Officer for the Science Programme. The position involves coordinating the design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and reporting initiatives, strategies, and activities related to a project focused on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in Haiti’s education sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Monitoring, Review, and Evaluation Plans aligned with UNESCO’s regulations and project objectives.
  • Ensure that monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities are risk-based and focus on measuring results achievement.
  • Support program reporting to donors and contribute to the Communication and Visibility Plan.
  • Provide guidance to program staff and national partners on monitoring, evaluation, and communication best practices.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation activities, produce reports on project implementation and results achievement, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience, including monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and methods.
  • Advanced University degree in social sciences, statistics, development economics, performance management, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields, OR First University degree with additional 3 years of relevant work experience and/or training/courses.
  • Fluency in English and French.

Desirable Qualifications: (Not mandatory)

  • Experience with the UN system.
