1. Background Information: UNOPS supports peace-building, humanitarian, and development projects globally, providing project management, procurement, and infrastructure services. The position falls under the Development and Special Initiatives Portfolio, serving partners with a global perspective, including those headquartered in New York.

2. Project Description: UNOPS has partnered with the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) to implement the Global Programme on Prosecution, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration (PRR), aimed at supporting Member States in implementing comprehensive strategies for individuals suspected of terrorism, including foreign terrorist fighters (FTFs) and their families.

3. Responsibilities: The Programme Management Specialist will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, closely coordinating with UNOCT. Responsibilities include providing guidance, coordination, and capacity building in the prosecution, rehabilitation, and reintegration of individuals associated with UN-listed terrorist groups.

4. Education/Experience/Language Requirements: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, and candidates should possess relevant education and experience in programme management. Proficiency in English is required.

5. Competencies: The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop and implement sustainable business strategies, think long term, and excel in communication and coordination.
