Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) (Swahili: Shirikisho la Mpira wa Miguu Tanzania), formerly known as the Football Association of Tanzania, is the country’s governing organization of football. Tanzania’s national football team (Swahili: Timu ya Taifa ya Mpira wa Miguu ya Tanzania) represents Tanzania in men’s international football and is controlled by the Tanzania Football Federation, the country’s governing body for football. Tanzania’s home stadium is Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam, and their head coach is Dean Alty from Tanzania. They are commonly referred to as the Taifa Stars. Tanzania has never been to the FIFA World Cup. Prior to joining Zanzibar, the squad was known as the Tanganyika national football team. The team is affiliated with both FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The island of Zanzibar, which is part of Tanzania (and was once an independent nation), is also an associate member of CAF and has played matches against other countries, although it is not eligible to compete in the World Cup or Africa Cup of Nations. See National Football Team of Zanzibar.
